Copharmed, Abidjan – Ivory Coast
The construction of Copharmed’s new site in Abidjan is both strategic and ambitious. This project has allowed this subsidiary of CFAO Healthcare to quadruple the size of its facilities, from 2,000 to 7,200 square meters. This remarkable expansion reflects Copharmed’s growing ambition and is in line with the enhanced investment trend in Ivory Coast, especially in the healthcare sector. More than just a physical extension, this new site symbolizes a critical step in CFAO’s strategy to improve healthcare access in Africa while adjusting to the continent’s changing healthcare market dynamics.
To meet the specific requirements of these new premises, forty solar streetlights from the ISSl range, known for their ease of installation and quick deployment, were selected to equip the Copharmed site. The iSSL Maxi Road models installed outside the site combine performance and durability. This cutting-edge solar technology contributes to a significant reduction in energy consumption, offering an environmentally friendly alternative to minimize long-term costs. Their reliability and efficiency ensure quality lighting, with long-lasting batteries providing consistent brightness and minimizing the need for frequent maintenance—a considerable advantage for the vast Copharmed site.
Copharmed’s project in Ivory Coast faithfully reflects CFAO’s environmental ambitions. Aligned with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal for clean and affordable energy, it signifies a deep commitment to reducing CFAO’s carbon emissions by 50% by 2030. At the heart of the Solar4Saving initiative, Copharmed equipped its site with photovoltaic panels, including on parking lot canopies, thus promoting renewable energy production. The integration of Sunna Design’s autonomous solar lighting solutions for outdoor spaces reinforces this commitment and illustrates the coherence of CFAO’s approach to sustainability and energy efficiency.
