Sunna Design is proud to announce two key appointments to its executive leadership team as part of its growth and innovation strategy. Thierry Brillat takes the helm of Research and Development, while Damien Hay has been promoted to Director of Major Projects and Execution. These strategic moves aim to strengthen the company’s position as a solar public lighting market leader.
Thierry Brillat joined Sunna Design in April 2024, bringing a wealth of expertise in managing and developing innovative B2B solutions. A PhD graduate in Physics, specializing in electronic and microwave systems from the University of Paris-Sud XI, Thierry has successfully led numerous projects from R&D conception through to market launch while ensuring efficient industrial management. His experience in demanding sectors such as fire safety and defense has honed his skills in designing cutting-edge technologies. With his unique background and strong command of multicultural environments, Thierry is a significant asset to Sunna Design, playing a pivotal role in strengthening the company’s technological leadership and developing integrated solar solutions for public lighting on a global scale.
Recently appointed Director of Major Projects and Execution, Damien Hay, is central in delivering large-scale projects with significant socio-economic impact, particularly across Africa. A graduate of the prestigious ESTP, Damien has built his expertise through various successful roles, including as a project manager in public lighting and through international voluntary work. With over six years of experience at Sunna Design, Damien has steadily risen through the ranks, starting as an Application Engineer for Lighting. He has made his mark by managing high-profile projects, such as deploying 50,000 solar streetlights in Togo. His recent promotion reflects his strong project management skills and his dedication to leading complex, strategic production and deployment initiatives for Sunna Design.
