Home Solar lighting blog Case studies Rehabilitation of Moch Couoh Park, Campeche, Mexico
A reliable and robust autonomous solar lighting solution, particularly suitable for area lighting such as in Campeche. Following the election of a new Governor in the State of Campeche in southern Mexico, the government initiated a policy of major works to improve and modernize the existing infrastructure, which must respect the unique architecture of the city of Campeche. Recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO since 1 December 1999, the walled city is the typical representation of Spanish colonial architecture. Local policy makers selected our iSSL Maxi Area solution to deploy 58 streetlights that strictly respect the historic site visually.
For our end customer, having a park accessible at night and lighting it optimally, especially for safety reasons, was an imperative. In search of an appropriate solution, they chose Sunna Design’s iSSL Maxi Area solution, which perfectly meets the specifications and has unique competitive advantages.
This solution has other competitive advantages, particularly in relation to the geographical location of this historic site. The iSSL Maxi Area is “plug & play”, remotely controlled by our mobile application, SUNNApp. A solution that operates 365 days a year and is resistant to extreme weather conditions. It is a range of products that perfectly meets the challenges of the Campeche site.
The aesthetics and sobriety of Sunna Design’s iSSL range make it possible to obtain an installation that respects the surrounding architecture. The durability of the iSSL Maxi Area solution, as well as the quality of its lighting, its luminous flux ranging from 1600 to 2800 Lumens on each side, backed by a consumption of 20 to 50 W respecting the tranquility and safety of passers-by and the park, are the main criteria that enabled us to win this tender. We are happy and proud to meet the requirements of a historic site that has been designated as a “World Heritage Site” by UNESCO.
