Home Solar lighting blog Case studies Solar Lighting in Saint-Jean-Pied-De-Port
St-Jean-Pied-de-Port, a small town of 1 500 inhabitants located in the Pyrenees region, is crossed by the pilgrimage trails of Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle.
The routes outside the city center are used by both hikers and cyclists, which makes road sharing between the different types of users quite complex and unsafe at night when there is no lighting.
Urban road works did not leave any room to have conventional streetlights installed, and this therefore implied significant installation costs to resolve this issue.
As a result, autonomous solar street lights were recommended to provide secure lighting while reducing energy and utility expenses for the municipality
Our Sunnapak 2 range was chosen for their added-value, their ease of installation, and their powerful lighting with 2800 Lumen flux.
Equipped with a smart lighting management system, the Sunnapak 2 luminous intensity is optimized to grant efficient usage and operation throughout the night, based on specific and custom lighting needs.
Our system guarantees an uninterrupted lighting service, thus providing better safety on secondary road trails.
